REPORT A LOSS
1. CONTACT US PROMPTLY WHEN DAMAGE OCCURS. Call us at 800.324-4623.
2. If you think your harvested yield will be less than your insurance guarantee, please give us a call at least 15 days before harvesting. If harvest has started, contact us immediately. we may need to have you leave representative strips of the damaged acreage at least 10' wide across the field for each 20-25 acres for a crop insurance adjuster to inspect.
3. DO NOT DESTROY or put acreage of an insured crop to any other use (i.e.: chopping for silage or baling) until consent is given by the company.
4. If your coverage includes a REPLANT provision, the company must make an INSPECTION and give CONSENT before you replant. Corn, grain sorghum, soybeans and sunflowers are eligible for replant payments. To qualify you must replant 20 acres or 20% of a unit's acreage, whichever is less.
5. The adjuster will verify that a separate acceptable record has been kept for each insured unit and for any uninsured acreage. Records must be either by scale ticket or measurable grain in bins.
6. The crop adjuster will verify the number of acres in each unit and your insurable interest in the crop.
